I am getting a "session" error when I submit the online application. What can I do about that?
The session error (session.sess_member_id) typically means that you do not have session cookies enabled on your computer. Session cookies allow you to remain on the same Empowerism member's website through the browsing and sign-up process. To use our online application, you must enable session cookies in your browser by going to: Tools/Internet Options/Privacy/Advanced, then check the box near the bottom that says "always allow session cookies". Click OK, close all browser windows, re-open, then navigate to the Empowerism member's website where you were attempting to sign up. Should you encounter any further problems, kindly use our Secure Email Support Ticket system for your inquiry, and be sure to copy and paste as much of the error message as possible so we can assist you quickly. < top>

Can I print and mail an application & order form?

When can I access all of the Subscriber Benefits?
If you pay by any method other than eCheck, you will have access immediately after your transaction is processed. At that time, an email will be sent with your pertinent information and password to gain access to the Paid Benefits section of the Member Admin Center. Echeck orders have an eight-day holding period.  <top>

How do I cancel my subscription?
You may cancel your subscription at any time by email, fax, or postal mail. Cancellations by email MUST come through our Secure Email Support Ticket system, where they will be issued a ticket number and receive a response within 1 to 48 hours.  Please read the Member Terms and Conditions, number 13 for further clarification.  <top>

What is your refund policy?
If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you will receive a full refund by canceling within 72 hours of your initial purchase.  Cancellations received after that time are left to the discretion of Empowerism management.  <top>

Where are your Terms and Conditions?
They are located on the Contact Us page of the website. Every member must read and agree to these Terms upon joining. They are also a good source of answers for your questions.  <top>

What happens if I lose my Password?
There is an "email my password" function on the Member Login page of your website. We are unable to personally respond to lost password requests unless you no longer have access to the email address on file with us, in which case we will require additional information from you for identification purposes.  <top>

Who can I contact if I have another question?
Unless your question is specifically about your Empowerism membership, such as a payment or login issue, the first person you should contact is your Sponsor or post your question on the Empowerboard message board, which is moderated by our courteous and knowledgeable staff, and is accessible from inside your Member Center.  <top>

How long can I receive the training information if I do not sponsor, sell, or promote?
Subscribers will receive the training and leads for as long as the subscription remains paid - there is no time limit and no sponsoring or sales requirement at all.  <top>

Can I promote Empowerism offline?
Yes!  You can use methods such as direct mail, postcards, flyers, newspaper classified ads, and many others.  <top>

What is a Forced Matrix?
A forced matrix is a very popular type of compensation plan especially on the Internet where things happen faster than in the "offline world" of mailing and faxing membership applications.

One of the best features is that it's easy to explain; another feature is that it allows the possibility of what's called Spillover.  Think of a matrix as a group of people arranged in rows, one under the other, with you at the top.  Everyone is on top of their own 3x9 matrix.  In the Empowerism "three by nine" matrix, that first row under you can hold a maximum of three sales (positions).  In fact, the first row under those three can only hold three sales, which means that the second row under you holds nine (3x3).  The first row under those nine can only hold three each, which means that the third row under you holds 27 (9x3).  And so on, down nine levels, each multiplied by the maximum number that can be placed under one position, which is 3.

It's called a "forced matrix" because (1) no more than three are placed on each member's first level, and (2) anyone who orders from your website after your first level is filled will be "forced" down to your second level and placed under one of those first-level positions.  The one that is forced down to a lower level is called "spillover."  Forced matrices allow you to build depth in your downline and maximize the compensation plan.

The "nine" part of the Empowerism "three by nine" matrix simply means that members are paid through nine levels of sales. <top>

Is this a cycling program?
No, this is not a cycling program.  Cycling programs require you to fill a matrix before you earn any money, and only few people get paid.  Empowerism pays you on every single subscription sale AND you can be in profit with the first one!<top>

Can I move or place a newly sponsored member under someone else in my downline after they join?
Yes, Empowerism has a tool that allows you to move newly personally sponsored members within 72 hours under anyone else in your downline.  If you choose to place under someone whose first level is already full, the new person will land in the next available position in that person's downline.

This is used as an incentive for unpaid members to renew or to work closely with their sponsor to promote.  For instance, say your upline member sponsored ten members and two of them landed under the person next to you (spillover). Let's say that person was not paid and you were.  Your upline member would likely move at least one of those sales under you as a reward. <top>

How can I be sure that you will pay commissions on time?
The parent company of Empowerism (Life, Education And Prosperity, Inc.) has enjoyed an impeccable track record of on-time delivery of commissions since January, 1998.  No other Internet-based company can match our track record for reliability.  <top>

Can I earn commissions without selling a subscription?
Yes as a paid Empowerism subscriber, you will receive commissions on the first FOUR LEVELS of your matrix without meeting any requirements. That means you can earn up to $120 EVERY MONTH without any personal sales! When you are ready to earn on all NINE LEVELS of your matrix, you only need to have three personal sales.  <top>

Will I make money simply by being an Empowerism Subscriber or buying a subscription? 
No, simply buying a subscription does not guarantee you will make commissions. You earn commissions from the sale of subscriptions. 

There may also be times when you will receive what's called "spillover" from your upline. This happens when an upline member makes more sales than will fit on any one level of their matrix, so the new sale is "forced" down into your downline. If you are a paid subscriber (or qualified but unpaid), you would receive commissions on that spillover. Nobody should rely on spillover - you may want to view it as unexpected income, which is always the best kind!  <top>

Will I be paid a commission if someone visits my website and requests a free sample?
No, you will only earn commissions from subscription sales.   <top>

What is a Fast Start Bonus?
You earn a $20 Fast Start bonus when someone buys a subscription from your website.  We pay Fast Starts every Monday for the previous Sunday through Saturday sales.  That means if ten people buy subscriptions from your website on Saturday, you would be $200 richer on Monday.  <top>

If I sponsor someone who upgrades to Subscriber, will I be paid the Fast Start Bonus and the monthly commissions?
Yes, all members earn commissions on sales of subscriptions.  Monthly renewal commissions are paid on all Subscription Renewals.  <top>

How are commissions paid?
The month is closed on the last day of each month and commissions are deposited into your commission balance where you can request them and be paid the following Wednesday for requests made the previous Sunday through Saturday.  Fast Start Bonuses are paid out each Monday or accrued, according to your preference.  We offer disbursement by Company Check, AlertPay, or eGold.  <top>

Will I have to recruit others? What happens if I do not sign others up?
No sponsoring is required!  If you are a subscriber but have not renewed after 90 days or have a personal sale, your account will be deactivated.<top>

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, eCheck bank debits (U.S. only, 8-day hold),  AlertPay, money orders (outside U.S. & Canada must be International Postal M.O.), personal checks (U.S. only, 8-day hold), certified bank checks, e-Gold, and if none of those options are available, you may send cash (U.S. dollars only).  To print a member application to mail or fax, CLICK HERE (if you do not wish to pay online).  <top>

Can I do a bank wire transfer to your account?
No, at this time we do not accept wire transfers.  <top>

Will you invoice me each month?
Subscriptions purchased using a credit card can be set up for auto-renewal each month, which means you never have to worry about whether or not your subscription is renewed. You can change this status at any time within the Member Center. Unpaid members receive emailed (not postal mailed) renewal reminders several times throughout the month. Accounts that go unpaid for 90 days will be deleted.

However, the best way to pay your subscription is to have three personal subscribers renewing each month, which will pay for your renewals (called auto-deduct).  This means that we can automatically deduct your subscription renewal from your commissions in any month that you earn $19.95 or more.  <top>

What are the features of the Free eBook/Sample Magazine function?
All member websites have a lead generation method for prospects to request a free ebook and sample of the EXCELLENCE magazine. The prospect enters his or her name, email, and country of residence, then confirms the request by clicking on a link in a confirmation email, and is then sent the URL for the free sample as well as a password to enter. Subsequently, the prospect is automatically sent a series of pre-written letters, which also include a mini-training series.

Empowerism Subscribers have the ability to email their prospects from inside the Member Admin Center. You can see how many letters each has received, delete them (in case they send a removal request to you instead of clicking on the removal link included in each email), and choose which ones to include in your group email. Unpaid members do not have access to this powerful management function.  <top>

I requested the Free eBook/Sample Magazine, but when I put in the username/password it says the system doesn't recognize me.
This usually means that you accidentally clicked on the removal link and were removed from the system. In this case, you will need to request the eBook again to be added back in. Proceed to the Empowerism website belonging to the member who referred you and use the Free eBook link on the home page. If you continue to have problems, please use the Secure Email Support Ticket system to contact us, and include the name of the member from whom you requested the eBook.  <top>

I haven't been able to login to my member center, I just keep going round and round.
First, you'll need to make sure that cookies are enabled on your computer. Then close all browser windows and open a new one, and navigate to your member center. If it still doesn't work, please use the following steps:

(1) Close out all browser windows
(2) Clear out cookies by going to My Computer, then c:\windows\cookies
(3) Clear out all Temporary Internet Files by right clicking on the I.E. icon, choosing Properties, then Delete Files in the middle of the General tab.
(4) Launch your browser and go to http://www.empowerism.com/e/YOUR ID
(5) Click on Member Login and enter your ID and password

If that does not work, please use the Secure Email Support Ticket system to contact us and include this information in your ticket: your browser name and version, operating system (XP, Vista, Mac, etc.), Empowerism ID and password exactly as you are entering it.  <top>

Will I be able to upload a banner or make changes to my Empowerism website?
At this time, members cannot alter or add to their Empowerism website.  <top>

What happens if I lose my password?
There is an "email my password" function on the Member Login page of your website. We are unable to personally respond to lost password requests unless you no longer have access to the email address you have on file with us. In that case, you should use the Secure Email Support Ticket system to contact us. For identification purposes, include your full name, date of birth, and mailing address in your request. You may be asked for additional information for security purposes.  <top>
